CELEBRATION BOOK CLUB

ESS Celebration Book Club

The ESS library is always striving to keep a vibrant, up to date collection of books for your child and we have a great way for you to be involved in making that happen while you celebrate milestones in your child's life.

By donating and dedicating a book to our library through the Celebration Book Club, you will be supporting our library and classroom curriculums by adding a book from our carefully selected book list.  It will provide your child with the opportunity to give the gift of reading to our school in celebration of their milestones (birthdays, holidays, etc.).  You can also donate a book to the Celebration Book Club in honor of another child's birthday.

It's the gift that keeps on giving... for many years!

How does the Celebration Birthday Club Work?

  • Review the list of books created by our librarian and teachers on Amazon.com

  • Go to www.amazon.com

  • On the far right hand side of the site, click on Wish List then Find a Wishlist.

  • Type in Elizabeth Shelton School in the blue box on the right.

  • Chose the book that you would like to donate and check out.  Make sure to mail it to the address below.

  • When you get to the "Review Your Order" page, click on the "gift options" link located near the bottom of the page, in blue, "Add gift options".  From there, click on "Include a gift message".  In that section, please notate who you are buying the book in honor of.  (For example: In celebration of Annie Smiths 6th birthday.)

  • Make sure you send the book directly to the school so we can maintain an accurate list and ensure it's displayed right away.  The address for delivery is:

Elizabeth Shelton School

Attn: Celebration Book Club

138 Willoughby Rd

Shelton, CT 06484

  • Once the book is received a special bookplate will be added to the front inside cover of the book which includes the dedication indicated.

  • The book will be displayed in the school entryway for all to see and your child will be able to be the first to check it out before it is returned to share with our school.
